10 Films to See in April
Thanks to a recent date change, April's most intriguing movie—Richard Linklater's Dazed and Confused semi-sequel Everybody Wants Some!!—is technically a March release, opening in select theaters tomorrow. But you can see it in April, along with new films from Jeremy Saulnier, Don Cheadle, John Carney, Aleksandr Sokurov, Joachim Trier, and more.
Writer-director Jeremy Saulnier’s follow-up to the well-reviewed Blue Ruin stars Anton Yelchin and Alia Shawkat as members of a punk band called The Ain't Rights. They find themselves trying to survive in a backwoods bar after witnessing a murder committed by a group of white supremacists led by Patrick Stewart. Early reviews have been very good for the (rather violent) film, which also stars Imogen Poots, Eric Edelstein, and Macon Blair.
