Throughout the 21st century console wars, there has always been one main reason Microsoft fans have given for choosing an Xbox over a Sony or Nintendo device: Halo. The sci-fi shooter franchise got its start as a launch title for the original Xbox, and while no subsequent Xbox release ever bested its score, it is safe to say that the gaming world would look very different today without the original Halo's success.
