With a slew of big-screen video game adaptations in the spotlight (Ratchet & Clank, Angry Birds, Warcraft), it’s the perfect time to look back at the worst videogame flicks out there … and maybe hope that the next bunch will be better.
This film is a unique achievement for Uwe Boll in that it’s a videogame film adaptation that is actually meant to be funny. But it isn’t. Boll co-wrote the screenplay, which isn’t saying much, and he also makes a cameo in which he exclaims how much he hates videogames. Oh, and fictionalized versions of Osama bin Laden and George W. Bush also have their moments to shine in the afterglow of an atrocious nuclear storyline.
