Uwe Boll’s cost-cutting measures can literally be seen on the screen; he hired Romanian prostitutes for one scene because they were cheaper than actual actresses. Nevertheless, this is the movie that started his collaboration with Kristanna Loken, who plays a half-human, half-vampire out for revenge. Co-star Michael Madsen apparently wanted to distance himself from the film so badly that he publicly called it an “abomination.”
