Out April 3 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Metacritic's Game of the Year for 2019 was a complete remake of Resident Evil 2. Now, it is Resident Evil 3's turn to get the remake treatment. Originally released as Resident Evil 3: Nemesis in 1999 for the first PlayStation console, the game was an action-heavy spinoff/sequel to RE2 taking place during the same time period but centering on the character of Jill Valentine. The new remake borrows the updated graphics engine and gameplay style from last year's RE2 remake (specifically, the over-the-shoulder third-person viewpoint), and also adds a new online multiplayer 4v1 co-op mode called Resident Evil: Resistance.
