In the gallery above, find details on the most-anticipated games that are expected to be released for PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC during 2020. (They're listed in alphabetical order.) While our list only includes games with confirmed release dates or that seem more likely than not to come out this year, you'll also find some of the more remote possibilities for 2020 compiled at the end of the gallery.
Out tbd for PC and Google Stadia. While a 2020 release date is far from guaranteed, its inclusion among the first titles announced for Google's Stadia service has fans hopeful that the long-awaited sequel to the classic 2000 RPG Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn will arrive sooner rather than later. Developed by Divinity: Original Sin studio Larian—and it's the biggest game they've made to date—the new BG promises "a rich narrative with unparalleled player freedom," and will feature both single- and multi-player gameplay.
Baldur's Gate III won't be the only Dungeons & Dragons-inspired RPG to arrive this year. Due this fall for consoles and PC is Dark Alliance, a spiritual successor to the 2001 game Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance that is similarly based on D&D's "Forgotten Realms" campaign.
