In the gallery above, find details on the most-anticipated games that are expected to be released for PlayStation, Xbox, Switch, and PC during 2020. (They're listed in alphabetical order.) While our list only includes games with confirmed release dates or that seem more likely than not to come out this year, you'll also find some of the more remote possibilities for 2020 compiled at the end of the gallery.
Out September 4 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Google Stadia, and PC. Recently delayed from May to September, Square Enix's single- and multi-player action game set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe features an original story centering on multiple playable characters led by relative newcomer Kamala Khan/Ms. Marvel but also including Iron Man, Captain America, Ant-Man, Hulk, Thor, and Black Widow. (More characters and missions will be added in the future as free DLC.)
Marvel fans didn't seem too happy with the first reveal of the game last summer at E3 (those certainly aren't the actors you know portraying the characters in the game), while a somewhat befuddled gaming press noted a lack of freshness, cohesiveness, and complexity in the gameplay. That said, the final product (developed by Crystal Dynamics, best known for their recent Tomb Raider reboot series) will arrive over a year after that first look, so there's certainly ample time to fix any lingering issues.
