Most Anticipated Video Games of 2017, Part 2: New IP and Indie Releases
Yesterday, in part 1 of our preview, we looked at 2017's most-anticipated sequels and remakes. Today, in our conclusion, we pick out the coming year's most promising new properties, both from big name developers as well as indie studios.
What: An online hack-and-slash swordfighting game from Ubisoft. Delayed from last year (and in production for over a decade), For Honor asks you to choose one of 12 unique fighters spread across three warring factions: samurai, knights, and Vikings. Employ your fighter in team-based multiplayer similar to that found in shooters (though with swords and axes replacing guns), with a precision-based dueling system that requires you to move your fighter with one stick while positioning your weapon with the other. A single-player mode is also available.
When: February 14th
