Here's yet another violation of the rule: If someone asks you to make the sequel to a Jim Carrey comedy without Jim Carrey, don’t. Exhibit C: Dumb and Dumberer: When Harry Met Lloyd, the 2003 sequel (that was technically a prequel) to Dumb and Dumber.
