▣ Manhunter (1986)
This 1991 movie starring Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins was so memorable few remember it is actually a sequel to the 1986 movie Manhunter starring William Petersen as the FBI agent who first brought Hannibal Lecter in. In Lambs, Hopkins takes over the cannibalistic role from Brian Cox, and works with an ambitious FBI student (Foster) to bring down a serial killer.
“A movie with this kind of haunting power comes along only once every decade or so.” —Susan Wloszczyna, USA Today
