This 2003 comedy marked the directorial debut of Chris Rock, who also wrote and starred in the film. Rock plays Mays Gilliam, a surprise candidate after the presidential and vice-presidential nominees die in a plane crash. Gilliam's popularity quickly skyrockets and he eventually becomes the commander-in-chief. As the film ends, Gilliam's face is carved into Mount Rushmore.
