Tracey Edmonds grew up in the Los Angeles area and went to Stanford University, where she studied psychology and nuero- biology. She originally planned to become a psychiatrist, but after graduating from Stanford in 1987, she decided instead to go into the real estate business with her mother. In 1990, Tracey met Kenneth Edmonds (aka Babyface) when she was chosen out of hundreds of women to be in a Babyface video production. Tracey Edmonds grew up in the Los Angeles area and went to Stanford University, where she studied psychology and nuero- biology. She originally planned to become a psychiatrist, but after graduating from Stanford in 1987, she decided instead to go into the real estate business with her mother. In 1990, Tracey met Kenneth Edmonds (aka Babyface) when she was chosen out of hundreds of women to be in a Babyface video production. However, Tracey never had teh opportunity to be in the video because shortly before filming began, she became sick with chicken pox. A few months later, Tracey and Babyface had a chance encounter at a recording studio and they started dating shortly afterwards. They married in 1994 and have two sons; Brandon in 1996, and Dylan in 2001.
Tracey Edmonds is President/CEO of Edmonds Entertainment, which includes a record company, music publishing, and film production company. She and Babyface were producers of the hit movie "Soul Food".
