Ruth Marshall

Biography: Ruth Marshall graduated with a degree in English from McGill University in Montreal and then returned to her hometown of Toronto to pursue a career in acting. It was there that she wrote and performed in her one-woman show "Four Letters, Five Years" at the Tarragon Theatre for which she received critical acclaim. Marshall made her film acting debut in 1992 as the lead in Denys Arcand's film "Love and Human Remains" and went on to appear in such acclaimed films as "Dolores Claiborne" with Kathy Bates and Jennifer Jason Leigh and "Waiting For Michelangelo." She has also been featured in several television series and made-for-TV movies, including "Half A Dozen Babies," starring Teri Garr, "Different" with Lynn Redgrave, "Power Play," "Tekwar" and "F/X." Having worked steadily in film and television, she has expanded her resume to include voicing commercials and cartoons and freelance writing for The Globe and Mail and The National Post.
