Russell Rouse
Biography: Russell Rouse, an American screenwriter, director, and producer. He was the son of Edwin Russell and was married to film actress Beverly Michaels. His first job was as a screenplay writer with Paramount Studios and his first film writing credit was Yokel Boy. He earned 18 credits as a screenwriter during his active years. He got popular for his screenplays and film noir movies. He co-wrote many stories with Clarence Greene and worked on six movies with him, starting with D.O.A.. They have films like The Well, The Thief, Wicked Woman, New York Confidential, and House of Numbers. In late 1950's they formed a production company called Greene-Rouse Productions, which produced one season of Tightrope apart from two other films. Rouse and Greene won a Academy Award for Pillow Talk in 1960 and were nominated for three other movies.
