Roger Newman
Biography: Roger is an American soap opera actor and writer. He got his first acting role in 1967 when he was hired for a brief stint as Joe on "The Edge of Night." In 1970, Roger was hired to play Ken Norris on CBS's daytime drama "Guiding Light." He left the show in 1975. As of 1983, Roger went behind the camera to write scripts for "Another World." In 1985, he was promoted to breakdown writer position and was downgraded back to script writing in 1987. He left the show in 1990. During 1991-1992, Roger wrote scripts for "One Life to Live." In 1992, he joined the crew of "Guiding Light" as a script writer and stayed with the show until 1999. During 1998-1999, Roger briefly returned to portraying Ken Norris on "Guiding Light." In 1999, Roger joined the crew of "Passions" and wrote for the show until 2004.
