Paula Forrest

Biography: Paula Forrest was born in Brisbane on the 14th July and raised in Dampier, WA.

At the age of 14, Paula attended a performing Arts school from years 9-12. When she left school, Paula then 18, founded the Swy Theatre Co- now the Perth Theatre Company, with a group of seven other people. They devised some theatre productions and had commissioned theatre which took them on the road touring. All the productions were youth orientated and took into account topical issues of the time- unemployment, children in war etc. At the age of 20, Paula auditioned for WAPA, a course that went for three years. She then went to Sydney in 1989 and worked for a year. Paula then returned to Perth and did 2 years of theatre. She was involved with productions such as, ‘The Cherry Orchid' and the highlight of her career so far was playing Viola in ‘Twelfth Night' with the Black Swan Theatre Company. Paula then became involved with television, taking up roles on Police Rescue, GP, Spellbinder, Murder Call and Water Rats.

Home and Away is Paula's first on going television role and she is thrilled to be part of the series and loves her character Shelley Sutherland.
