Nick Carter

Biography: Although he initially pursued acting, Carter shot to fame as the youngest member of the Backstreet Boys during the boy-band boom of the 1990s. With his pretty-boy looks and strong lead vocals, he became an instant teen idol and was frequently cited on magazine hot lists. The breakout star of the group, he decided to go solo in 2002 with the album Now or Never, and he returned to acting with sitcom guest spots and a horror flick called The Hollow in 2004. After participating in a Backstreet Boys reunion in 2005, Carter became a reality-TV star the following year in the series House of Carters, which also focused on his younger brother Aaron and their three sisters. In addition to singing, he also plays the guitar and drums, and counts Tom Petty and Bruce Springsteen among his music idols.
