Biography:
Murray Smith, novelist, movie and television writer /producer. Wrote the series STRANGERS and BULMAN for Granada TV, starring the late Don Henderson, 52 episodes in all. Created and wrote THE PARADISE CLUB for BBC / Zenith, also starring Henderson and Leslie Granthan. Wrote original thriller series EXTREMELY DANGEROUS, starring Sean Bean. Co-devised and scripted FREDERICK FORSYTH PRESENTS series of six movies for TV with Frederick Forsyth, series subsequently became the Frederick Forsyth international best-seller THE DECEIVER.
Author of novels THE DEVIL'S JUGGLER, STONE DANCER, KILLING TIME and LEGACY. Published in 18 countries,translated into 14 languages.
LEGACY is scheduled to be BBC mini-series for 2004.
Founded West End Films PLC in 2002, sponsored by Close Brothers Investment Limited. Acquired Jilly Cooper's POLO 2003 for filming spring 2004,as TV 2 parter. West End Films has 24 titles in development. Murray Smith is Chairman/CEO.
