Mike Dion

Biography: Ever since childhood, Mike had a fascination with the unknown, ranging from the possibility of the existence of life on other worlds to unseen spirits on this one. He found a love for music, and after picking up the guitar around the age of fifteen, he would spend anywhere from four to twelve hours practicing in his room. Friends and relatives told him that he was becoming really good at playing the guitar, and in Mike's mind he could see big things coming for himself in respect to being in a band. Unfortunately, his dreams never panned out as he had hoped, but it did not stop Mike from playing for fun.

As the years past, other things began to pique his interest, one of which was becoming a pilot. Eventually, years down the road, Mike ended up taking flying lessons and achieved a long goal of his...he is now a certificated private pilot. His interest in the paranormal never did cease, and only a few years after getting his pilot's license, he had a paranormal experience that he could not explain by any means. Having this experience rekindled his love for ghosts and other things unknown. He began selling some of his pilot gear to purchase equipment in order to seriously investigate the paranormal.

Doing some searching on the Internet, he came across a paranormal research group known as New England Paranormal. This group was giving a lecture in Boston, MA, and he talked his parents into going with him to the class. He got to meet Steve Gonsalves, the founder and director of New England Paranormal, and Brian Harnois. Brian was the case manager for The Atlantic Paranormal Society, also known as TAPS.

After informing Steve of his love for the paranormal, Steve offered Mike a place on the New England Paranormal team, where investigation of the paranormal is done in a scientific manner with specialized equipment. Mike wholeheartedly accepted, and not too long afterwards, was promoted to Case Manager. A couple of years after joining the group, because of Mike's undying devotion to New England Paranormal and it's clients, he was again promoted, this time to Co-Director and now teaches the class that he had signed up for only a few years back. Due to his friendship with Steve and Brian and the rapport he had with Jason Hawes and Grant Wilson, the founders of TAPS, Mike was offered the opportunity of a lifetime...a guest star spot on their Sci-Fi network television show Ghost Hunters.

And most recently, Jason Hawes promoted Mike to Director of The Atlantic Paranormal Society (TAPS), and he will remain with New England Paranormal as Senior Advisor.… Expand
