Michael Dunn

Biography: Born Gary Neil Miller, this well-known little person surprisingly managed to land important dramatic roles. In the early '60s he made a strong impression in the Broadway play Ballad of the Sad Cafe. He debuted onscreen as an empathetic observer of society in Ship of Fools (1965), for which he received a "Best Supporting Actor" Oscar nomination. He appeared in a number of films, plays, and episodes of TV series. During the filming of The Abdication (1974) in 1973, he was found dead in his London hotel room; some speculated he had committed suicide.
