Michael Ansara

Biography: A character actor with background in road shows and stock companies, Ansara first appeared onscreen in Action in Arabia, but he didn't do much work in films till the '50s. Ethnically Lebanese, his swarthy features and strong body resulted in frequent roles as American Indians, such as that of Cochise in the '50s TV series Broken Arrow. Otherwise, he often plays threatening or heavy roles. Ansara married actress Barbara Eden in 1958.
