Laura Pyper

Biography: Scarlet-haired, quintessentially Irish actress Laura Pyper officially took her Hollywood bow in 2002, with a bit part in the effects-heavy medieval extravaganza Reign of Fire, but made a stronger impression in her native U.K. with two successive projects. She first signed for a lead in director Shimmy Marcus' freewheeling crime comedy Headrush (2003), as the ex-girlfriend of a stoner-turned-drug entrepreneur, and then made an impression among American audiences with the BBC import series Hex (2005), as one of several witches who defend a bucolic English school from attacks by a demonic power.
