John Vito Pietanza

Biography: John Vito Pietanza was born in Brooklyn, NY on August 3, 1974, and was raised in Staten Island, NY. His parents emigrated to the U.S. from Bari, Italy, after they were married and he has two older sisters. JV attended Monsignor Farrell H.S. on Staten Island and then attended St. John's University, where he was president of Iota Alpha Sigma fraternity. After graduating with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Finance, he began working at JP Morgan Securities on Wall Street. JV worked as an assistant trader before being promoted to trader on the Government Agency Securities Trading Desk. JV left JP Morgan in June 2002 and participated in the Amazing Race3 during August and September of that year. JV now works as a Bond Market Strategist and Economist at another firm and provides economic analysis and insight for Bondtalk.com.
