Guy Madison

Biography: Born Robert Moseley, he entered the Navy in 1942, then made his film debut while still in uniform in Since You Went Away (1944). Rugged, boyish, and all-American, he soon became a box-office favorite with teenage girls. Apparently on the road to stardom, by the '50s he was appearing mainly as tough heroes in action films; he also starred in the TV series Wild Bill Hickok. In the '60s he lived in Italy and made spaghetti Westerns and costume adventures. Later he made obscure films in far-off locations such as the Philippines. He married and divorced actresses Gail Russell and Sheila Connelly.
