Eric Millegan

Biography: Impish and intelligent, this openly gay actor spent a decade on stage before landing a plum role as Bones' resident boy genius. During the 1990s, Millegan appeared in myriad stage productions, mostly in musicals, including a part in the Broadway revival of Jesus Christ Superstar and the title male role in a tuneful adaptation of the cult film Harold and Maude. In 2005, with only a handful of guest spots and one indie film on his résumé, the plucky player went to Los Angeles for pilot season, and within a few weeks he had snagged his breakthrough role. Off camera, he is an avid basketball fan who has penned articles about his favorite sport, played in the NBA's Entertainment League and sung the National Anthem before several games. He also supports AIDS charities (notably performing a duet with Bones costar Emily Deschanel during a 2008 fund-raiser) and maintains his own YouTube channel, where he posts videos about himself and basketball.
