Drew Barrymore

Biography: Child stars are known for capturing the hearts of audiences, but few of them do so into adulthood. Yet this winning actress continues to charm decades after making a splash as a 7-year-old alien-loving cutie in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. Unfortunately, while Barrymore inherited the talents of her famous ancestors Lionel, Ethel and John, she also inherited their addictive personalities. After cleaning up, she reinvented herself on screen as a bad girl (Poison Ivy, The Amy Fisher Story) before finally settling on a sweet, effervescent yet clearly grown-up persona in a string of '90s comedies (The Wedding Singer, Home Fries and Never Been Kissed, the first of many vehicles she produced for herself). In 2000 she added butt-kicking to her résumé as one of three comely detectives in the blockbuster Charlie's Angels, which she also produced, catapulting her to the top of the Hollywood A-list. Barrymore stayed busy in the '00s, starring in a number of successful films, including 50 First Dates, Fever Pitch and He's Just Not That Into You. She made her directorial debut with the quirky 2009 sports drama Whip It. And in 2010, she won raves and a Golden Globe for her convincing portrayal of reclusive socialite Little Edie Beale in HBO's Emmy-winning film Grey Gardens, about two eccentric relatives of Jackie Kennedy-Onassis. Off screen, Barrymore has had a high-profile love life, which includes a short-lived marriage to comedian Tom Green, a five-year relationship with Strokes' drummer Fabrizio Moretti, and an on-again, off-again romance with actor Justin Long.
