Blake Painter

Biography: Blake is a second-generation fishermen whom was born and raise in the small coastal port town of Astoria, Oregon. He literally grew up on the decks of fishing vessels, and at the age of three he would start to fish for black cod, halbuit, tuna, and Dungeness Crab on the the Evening Star. Even at that young age was always eager to learn about any aspect of the industry.

Blake spens a good majority of the year fishing or tendering, eleven mouths of the year either on the Maverick, for King Crab, salmon and herring, or the Evening Star, which is he the co-owner and the captain of, snice he was 19. Which fishes for Dungeness crab, black cod and halibut.

When Blake isn't fishing he spends his time hunting, with a bow, deer, elk, ducks, and turkeys.
