Bess Flowers
Biography: Among movie buffs, actress Bess Flowers is known as the "Queen of the Hollywood Extras." Over her 40-year career, Flowers appeared in over 150 movies. The Texas-born actress broke into movies during the early '20s where she played leading ladies in low-budget westerns and action films. From the beginning of the sound period on, she was relegated to bit parts. For a time, Flowers was married to film director Cullen Tate.
