Not sure what album the critics were listening to but this is a very fun and exciting album of covers from a multitude of genres. It may not be as raw as their live recording from The 100 Club , but its still a great album by a group of very talented musicians doing the thing they love with the songs they grew up loving.

This album is a great modern version of classic rock in the new days style. It is Made by incredible musicians and it should be more appreciated. Nic Cester´s Voice is insane, and Matt Bass, Oh soo good!!!

Wall to wall fun, what’s not to like? Sure the covers are pretty unoriginal but they are tight and high energy. Their versions of Have Love Will Travel and Money (that’s what I want) are the standouts.

They sound positively in-your-face rather than isolated on garagey, throbbing stomps. [Jan 2021, p.27]

You’ve Always Been Here is a carefree celebration, a win-win; the band have fun unloading on such un-precious tracks and the songs prove themselves sturdy enough to withstand the punishment. In rock or classic soul circles, it's guaranteed to raise a smile.
