What a piece of garbage. Everything on this album (if you can really call it that) is nothing but distilled EGO. There is absolutely nothing of worth here and it a massive waste of your time and money. Spend both elsewhere, Kanye is washed up.

Short, messy, totally lacks anything that could be labelled a 'hit', disposable, awful guest vocals, sore thumb production choices, entirely throwaway. I think that's the statement? I think that's the point? All the same, pass...

A Trump supporter and someone who disparages mental health on his album cover. I couldn't make the rating go any lower, so a zero it is. I used to love Kanye despite his insanity and inability to connect with normal humans. No more.

Very underrated album from the musical genius himself Kanye West. Like 808 this will go down as one of the best music ever released from Kanye.

Kanye is not a good hang anymore. Back in the day when he was controversial for being arrogant, I never minded it. I liked that he didn't play to the narrative. But now he seems fake deep. Dope production on this though.

This album could be great, and does have many great moments within it's songs. The individual components that make up "Ye" are very moving and inspirational in and of themselves, yet they are quickly ruined by some boneheaded lyric about Kanye's celebrity or some ignorant commentary about current events. Most of the time, it's Kanye that gets in the way of his own greatness.

Most of the time, it's Kanye that gets in the way of his own greatness.

And while I do applaud the candidness about his mental illness, It almost feels like it is used as an excuse for Kanye's erratic and offensive behavior than a true discussion or expression of his psyche. In the end, it is crowded out by so much nonsense that it fails to actually make an impact and lift the album to level that it aspires to be at.

"Ye" is evidence that the Kanye West we've known and loved is no more and all we are left with is a shallow diva that seems blissfully unaware of how much of a fool he is making himself out to be.

Wow… why did I listen to this? To start this off, I listened to Kanye West’s “ye” because of two reasons: I thought I’d give rap music a try, and I was interested in listening to West’s latest, which has gotten mixed reviews from critics and I thought one of the songs was pretty funny upon listening to it’s very end with some people I know. ye on the other hand, was absolutely horrible. I don’t know what I was expecting, but certainly not drum tracks and synths with lots of explicit language, especially the use of the N-word. It just made me so uncomfortable and it was offensive. On the other hand, the only two slightly bright(er) spots in this album were Wouldn’t Leave and No Mistakes, since the music was actually decent, even if that’s not the music I would choose to listen to on a regular basis. I’m sure Kanye West has a lot of supporters, but after listening to ye, I’m definitely not a part of that list. This is the first downright negative review I have given to any album. Hopefully his next album is better. Highlights: none :(

"Ye" tries to be minimalist, but sometimes it's simplistic. I understand the idea of Kanye, he makes nice and smooth letters and like no one else. The album has no beginning and end, I feel lost listening. We have to wait much longer.

Huge and longtime Kanye fan, first big letdown. I was worried that this album would face critical rejection because of Kanye's recent political outbursts, but it has failed on account of lack of merits.

Initial reaction of disappointment, and the album has not grown on me, I would describe my feelings as secondhand embarrassment at times.

While prior albums have been met with immediate excitement and hype, I found myself wanting the song to end, as I was holding out hope for the album and wanting the next song to be better. I finished the album without thinking this happened.

TLOP and Graduation had immediate hype for me, which eventually faded into doubt, then grew on me again. I am not experiencing this phenomenon, feels like a slog.

Kanye does it again, absolutely amazing. Always ahead of the game and never going anywhere. Classic and inspiring, the album begins in a destructive-introspective dream, awakens in the club, then soars to the stars! An amazing Kanye record, definitely his most underrated.

This is Kanye's shortest yet most focused record to date, providing us with not only great songs but also the most introspective view into Kanye's personal struggles with his mental illness. To sum it up, the first half of the record exhibits Kanye's manic part of his psyche, where he has his ego, suicidality, and sexuality

This is Kanye's shortest yet most focused record to date, providing us with not only great songs but also the most introspective view into Kanye's personal struggles with his mental illness. To sum it up, the first half of the record exhibits Kanye's manic part of his psyche, where he has his ego, suicidality, and sexuality unapologetically on display. The remaining 4 songs show his journey to freedom from his demons through his wife and kids, ending with Kanye's transformation from an egomaniacal, misogynistic celebrity to a loving, caring father who worries a lot about his kids and loves and appreciates his wife. Very wholesome vibes.

All of this is accomplished in under 24 minutes, all while delivering some of Kanye's greatest tracks of all time and most personal verses, wrapped up in a neat bow with the immaculate production and creativity displayed throughout the project. The only small nitpick I have is that the instrumentation is a bit bare in the first half of All Mine, which makes it just slightly underwhelming and lacking in impact in that specific part. Nonetheless, this is undoubtedly one of Kanye's best albums to date, and deserves much more attention and love from fans and audiences in general.

The album consists of 7 tracks. It starts off with a very strong track called "I Thought About Killing You" this track is very beautiful and it helps us understand his bi-polar and him as a person more. Also, I don't think the replay value for this album is high. I think the tracks are well-produced but also felt like it was rushed at the same time. The production for Pusha T's album is so much better than this album. I feel like his work harder on producing his other artist albums rather than his own. I do enjoy the risk that he took on some of the songs.

The other tracks on the album are filled with strong and funny moments. I think the best tracks on this album are the opening and closing tracks. Also, the track with Kid Cudi gives us a sample on how the album Kid See Ghost will sound. Looking forward to listening to more tracks produced by Kanye. I think the album is well-written but also felt like some moments on this album is so cringy. Some of the lines are so wack while the other is strong. This is a hard project to review because I am still confused about it. It's well-produced but it's not his best, it's probably his worst.

I think the real highlight of this album is 070 Shake. She needs a full-length album because she's amazing.

My rating as of now: 7/10.

Since 2003, the release of a new Kanye album has always been the most exciting musical event of the year - and 15 years later he keeps on proving why. At first sight, it may seem like the production is less complex, less captivating than usual Kanye but don’t let that first listen fool you. At first sight, it may seem like the production is less complex, less captivating than usual Kanye but don’t let that first listen fool you. It’s his most personal work in years with meaningful, thoughtful lyrics; and every single song is exceptionally well crafted and produced, with samples meticulously chosen as always. He takes us on a deep, intimate journey into his conflicted yet fascinating mind in a unique way only Kanye can.
Seriously, go grab your best pair of headphones, turn them up and focus solely on the music for 24 minutes and I swear you’ll have a hell of a ride. Multiple times. Ye delivers and after all these years it’s still painful to imagine a rap world without Kanye West. Brilliant piece of work from the artist of our generation, the man never disappoints.
