    Bland pop music to give an outstanding lead single this was a let down, it seems Shawn tried to combine the appeal of Lover x folklore and we arrived at this. Not just that but the track with Bieber would have been stellar if it wasn’t for the guest feature

    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. “Wonder” marks a significant departure from every work Mendes has done in his past studio albums: full cohesive album, great production, outstanding vocals and interesting tracks, some of them quite surprising. Some sonorously wise and peculiar tracks include the Beatle inspired and vocally impressive “Song For No One”, the fun 60’s inspired Miami tribute “305”, “Always Been You”, which can be easily interpreted as a journey into Mendes’ and the singer-songwriter and Mendes’ girlfriend Camila Cabello relationship progress, and “Look Up At The Stars”, a pop rock ballad and fan tribute track. Other highlights in “Wonder” are the spicy and teasing “Teach Me How To Love” and the Everly Brothers inspired “Dream”. The acoustic and love letter kind “Can’t Imagine”, which appears as the final track, might not have been the correct ending for the album, but Mendes chose to give his audience a soft and calming closure. Lyrically, Mendes’ fourth studio album is fine, but the 22 year-old musician got way more potencial than we are able to check. Besides that, Mendes explores a side of himself never seen or heard before. It’s safe to say that the Canadian singer-songwriter has got a brilliant future in music, and “Wonder” shows itself as a guarantee to that future.… Expand

    I love Shawn Mendes and I was really excited when I heard Wonder and the Intro from the netflix , but the rest of the album is really disappointing, it so flat compare to his other ones. Sorry to say this but his illuminate album his voice is so so so much crisper and mesmerizing

    I loved this album. Mendes shows himself to be an incredible artist in every season and is here to show everyone that he is an excellent composer and singer. Wonder is a cohesive work from Intro to Can't Imagine, where we can see his personal evolution, from him exposing his feelings for family, friends and his girlfriend Camila.

It is possible to notice some influences of his idol, Justin Bieber who is present in 'Monster', however, does not add much. As in some tracks it even sounds like Justin Timberlake.     LOVE THIS gives an real insight on his love life, his relationships with his friends, and himself.. I will say the beginning (after intro and wonder) aren’t my favorite, but once it gets to “Dream” it really starts to pick up i’m in AWE of this this album is such an experience congrats shawn :)))

    Shawn appears much more mature in Wonder. The album has several music styles that are different from the one that is his comfort zone (romantic pop), and it shows how genuine music can sound when we truly put the words that our heart wants to say in music. What we can see in Wonder is a singer being free to innovate and say what he wants to say, without creating music that music industry wants.

    This is literally one of his best albums lyrically and sonically. The vocals and production for the songs are outstanding. This album has definitely exceeded my expectations.
    Teach me How to Love, Higher, and Call My Friends are definitely my favorite.

    esse é uns dos álbuns mais sem graça e sem personalidade que eu ouvi nos últimos tempos, esse álbum parece uma música só durante 40 minutos, parece que o Shawn Mendes vem fazendo a mesma coisa nos últimos anos, com as músicas super repetitivas e sem graça, forçando conceito e coesão aonde não tem, sem falar que liricamente esse álbum é fraco demais.

    His best album so far. Loved all the new sounds and melodies he included, it has a lot of different beats which makes the album an entire masterpiece. The songs “Teach Me How To Love”, “Piece Of You”, “Higher”, “Always Been You”, “Dream” and “Look Up At The Stars” are incredible. This album is insanely good, definitely 10/10.

When I listened to it at first, I was definitely surprised by some of the songs (Higher, Piece Of You, 305 and Call My Friends) but wow they are really good. Vocally I think Shawn is the best that he has been but it is really hard to get past the juvenile repetitive lyrics. I actually think lyrically it is his worst album yet. Production wise, it has its hits and misses.     This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. 'Wonder' mostra que Shawn Mendes só evolui, nesse novo trabalho é completo e coeso, tão gostoso que da para manter em loop. A faixa inicial faz uma conexão boa entre a "Intro" e o single que dá nome ao álbum. "Higher" é a canção que facilmente poderia está na trilha sonora de um musical da Disney e a batida que as vezes faz lembrar do funk 'Parado No Bailão' do MC L da VInte, chega a ser cómico. As faixas seguintes da aquela sensação de está numa montada-russa, mas fazendo uma semiótica da capa, atrevo-me a dizer que é como entrar no oceano e nadar mais fundo e as vezes ter que ir a superfície pegar um ar. "305", é uma vibe gostosa e dançante, da até para tocar uma guitarra imaginaria.     Um álbum bastante esperado, mas que continua na linha tênue e corriqueira do canadense shawn mendes. Poucas faixas que de fato empolgam, letras batidas e um aspecto de sonolência e comodismo que exala ao longo da primeira a décima quarta faixa.

    Such a meaningful record full of amazing lyrics, a production that goes above and beyond and an overall experience of music at its best. Shawn really outdid himself once again. Personal favorites are probably higher, piece of you and song for no one.

    After his self titled album I knew I was going to like the new album because I personally love his style but it surpassed my expectations. It has a lot of variety but it shares the same cohesive story and freedom element. I’m look forward to seeing the live performances when artists are able to tour again

    Mendes spends nearly every minute bowled over by the power of love. It’s nice to see his cup overflow so bountifully, but the near-constant awe quickly grows tiresome, especially when conveyed through clichés like, “Your body’s like an ocean, I’m devoted to explore you” and, “You’re my sunlight on a rainy day.”
