the hazy sad creepy vibe holds for the first couple of tracks after which it becomes repetitive. It's alright but just not gripping enough to listen to in one go.

Low-rent Lorde demos by someone whose hair matters more than her lazy voice. The audio equivalent of a man-bun. Billie's licensed "Bad Guy" to so many UK commercials - maybe she's cashing in because she knows her success will be short? Enough body-shaming of her, people - focus instead on her brother being in her bedroom so much. Ewww.

On WWAFAWDWG, Billie Eilish spends too much time trying to be edgy and make references to pop culture (what was the point of the Michael Scott sample? I’m not a big fan of Billie, but this album is actually great, with some heartfelt lyrics and nice instrumentals and harmonies but, in my opinion, a lot of Billie’s songs just sound the same, very sleepy and slow.

Mediocre voice, lyrics and production. Production often sounds outdated. For example You Should See Me in a Crown has a dubstep wobble straight out of 2011. Its catchy in some ways but boring in some other ways. Also, its lacks originality. Its seems stolen from other artists and put together into one record.

«When We Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go» is a volatile launching pad. Not sure what everyone sees in this. After 3 listens this is mediocre at best. It would seem we really are in the age where we celebrate mediocre as the second coming of Christ. She better show more range than the sad sack persona she seems to have cultivated here or she will be a footnote in the history of pop.

Never liked the mental health/ substance abuse theme probably because there are no actual roots for it. Also the constant distortion effect and mumbling vocal style are so annoying that the last guitar songs even felt a bit fresh to me.

I'm gonna be real with you. I vibe with bad guy and bury a friend. But everything else is pretty boring and not as "experiemental" or "groundbreaking" as everyone says it is.

This is a super generic 'im edgy' pop album. The same repetitive effects are used on every song and she relies on her 'deep' lyrics to soothe the population. One or two songs are catchy, but they're not worth buying the entire album for. I really liked dont smile at me because it displayed her vocals nicely.

Альбом абсолютно проходной, есть пару неплохих песен на которых держится весь релиз, однако альбом для "не такие как все". Загробное звучание, некоторые песни имеют неплохой текст. Но в общем - плохо.

Just a couple of years ago, I was blown away by Billie’s album ‘don’t smile at me’. However, this album seems a bit rushed and many of the songs sound very similar. Bad guy, although becoming a top hit in several countries, came across to me as very boring. A few songs were good, though. A shame since her firstborn album was so good.

Billie wears her abominable behavior proudly on her sleeve, with creeping vocalizer effects and brooding bass. Perhaps it would work if her rise to fame was more organic. It's hard not to hear the boardroom of old, white executives at Interscope snickering as they unleash this cacophony onto the masses. Maybe it's time they stop trying to give youth culture a hellish ethos and just retire already.

I have refused a lot to hear it, but if I want to criticize it, I have to hear it. I will not deny that it has a very good production, with great quality, but it is useless if your voice is so dull and boring. When I heard "Bad Guy" it was perfect, but when she sings she does **** it would sound much better if it were only instrumental. When I heard "Bad Guy" it was perfect, but when she sings she does **** it would sound much better if it were only instrumental. Her singing, well, her whispers are so exasperating, only Selena Gomez can forgive her, but lately she has also made pure garbage. Billie Eilish brings nothing but her whispers and "super weird" lyrics for a 17-year-old girl, she does not use great technique or effort to sing if she could be said to sing, she sounds totally like Lorde in Pure Heroine but without soul. As it is possible that the music sounds much louder than the voice, it is incredible how flat and boring it is, those effects that it uses in its voice are exasperating and annoying, it is noted that it is the only resource that it has to use because it does not have a great voice or that is the image you want to give. It was like 40 minutes underwater and I was not wrong to think that this was going to be a tremendous bore. Expand

There are few good songs, but not good enough to make this album anything but decent. Lows are low, and highs are mediocre. Hype around her public persona will make this album comercially successful, but Billie fails to make anything intresting.

This is honestly one of the few times where the sum of it's part is LESS than the whole. I liked some songs on the album and I would give them average scores but the whole thing together is so boring
Same delivery, same whispery voice, I was really happy when I heard something different for 15sec on the track "Bury a friend". At times she is really trying too hard to be relatable and edgy

All my friends hate Billie Eilish. I didn’t want to reach that same conclusion without listening to her work, so I gave her only album a listen. I was expecting it to be absolutely awful, and those expectations were mostly met. I didn’t like how dark a lot of her songs were—and it’s sad to think that’s what the world enjoys now—the lyrics to some songs weren’t that creative, and some of them use the awful, annoying, and generic electronic drum tracks. Plus, the way she vibratos her voice can be really hard to listen to. On the other hand, I did enjoy the upbeatness of some tracks and I enjoyed the loud and creative bass, but neither of those things are able to save this album from disaster, unfortunately. It’s such a shame Bad Guy turned into a generic mumble rap song in its finale, I really liked the first 75% of it. Bottom line, while I did not quite think this was as bad as it could’ve been, I’m not sure that I would call some of her songs from WHEN WE ALL FALL ASLEEP, WHERE DO WE GO? music. Highlights: none :(

The intention is clear, as creepy and hysterical sounds are forcefully put with soft music, that Billie and her brother are just trying to copy Lana Del Rey or Melanie Martinez because they think it would be a good formula to gain success in alternative. The ghosty look of the album cover and all non-capital song titles also prove how bad Billie is trying to look artistic and cool. The music is the same old sad slow song, with low volume and high pitch, but really doesn't offer good melodies and aesthetic values. The 17-year-old sensation takes pop iconography and musical status quo and lacerates it, opting out of femme fatale for tomboy cargos and goth macabre, and sleek soundscapes for creepy eccentrics.
