    Gerard Langley returns with the band's best album in years. With echos of the band's best album 1990's Swagger, Welcome, Stranger carries a wallop. Punchy, melodic guitar lines carry Langley's spoken-word poetry, perfectly delivered. Solid songs throughout, not a clunker to be found, the Blue Aeroplanes have embraced a drum-driven 60's garage rock vibe. "Dead Tree! Dead Tree!" is one ofGerard Langley returns with the band's best album in years. With echos of the band's best album 1990's Swagger, Welcome, Stranger carries a wallop. Punchy, melodic guitar lines carry Langley's spoken-word poetry, perfectly delivered. Solid songs throughout, not a clunker to be found, the Blue Aeroplanes have embraced a drum-driven 60's garage rock vibe. "Dead Tree! Dead Tree!" is one of the best songs by the band, period. "Poetland" is profound and lovely.
