    The title track is suitably dreamy and orchestrated and Ghost Of You has a hint of 70s John Cale in its enjoyably opulent chord sequences. There's still room for a little Welsh. [Sep 2025, p.103]

    ‘Utopia’ has its limitations. The retro/out-of-time musical architecture feels a bit familiar, although magical closer ‘Hireth’ is a singular highlight. Nonetheless, there’s heady magic to be found herein, if a touch less so than on its creator’s truly otherworldly previous works.

    This is artistic progression and while some might miss the old, more fun version of Gwenno, the more mature and serious version isn't half bad.
