Carly Rae never disappoints when it comes to pop perfection. The Loneliest Time is one of her most emotionally relatable album. I'm hoping that everyone will give this album and Carly a chance because it's all worth it!

This album proves her power as a pop artist. Perfectly sounding songs, with beautiful choruses and beautiful production was the highlight of this album. The lyrics of this album are also better than her previous works. Maybe lyrically, this is her best.

CRJ once again proves her talent as a singer-songwriter. An album more cohesive than the last with each song reflecting Jepsen's growth in music.

Carly Rea Jepsen once again proves she’s one of the most underrated pop stars! She continues to produce addictive songs like Talking To Yourself, The Loneliest Time, and Beach House. So Nice is groovy, Go Find Yourself Or Whatever will have you crying, and Joshua Tree will have you saying “da dadadadada.” Listen to this album If you haven’t yet!

Carly did it again, this time reaching new depths. It's a subtle vulnerability, no gimmicks, just amazing heart-on-your sleeve pop. The singles are much more cohesive on the album than separate. No skips!

The Loneliest Time is a clear evolution of Jepsen's earlier work; where she's always had a sense of sincerity in her work, this newest album showcases vulnerability, even among its more upbeat, dancier tracks. Even when glimpses of reality show, most of the album is undeniably infectious including catchy bops like Talking to Yourself and Surrender My Heart. Tracks like Bad Thing Twice andThe Loneliest Time is a clear evolution of Jepsen's earlier work; where she's always had a sense of sincerity in her work, this newest album showcases vulnerability, even among its more upbeat, dancier tracks. Even when glimpses of reality show, most of the album is undeniably infectious including catchy bops like Talking to Yourself and Surrender My Heart. Tracks like Bad Thing Twice and the album's bonus track, Anxious, still have a fun tempo while keeping real emotion at their cores. Go Find Yourself or Whatever is the album's main low-key song that feels the most emotionally resonant, with lyrics that hurt when you really dig into them. But it's the album's eponymous track, The Loneliest Time, that steals the whole show. Elements of ethereal 80s/90s pop, disco, and striking strings are elevated even higher by Rufus Wainwright clean, buttery smooth vocals.

The Loneliest Time is CRJ's most inspired album yet. Best? Hard to say, with Emotion and Dedicated being contenders but it's at least as good as her previous releases with tracks rivaling her classics. The Loveliest Time can't come soon enough.

Though there are bright spots of disco bliss, for the most part, The Loneliest Time is a rather reflective project. Its creation took place at one of the most uncertain periods of our recent history, and that uncertainty made Jepsen’s songwriting introspective. ... Deep questions aren’t answered on the record, but her struggles make for some beautiful music.

The album’s only real mishap is the lack of sonic cohesion between energizing jams and moments of quiet clarity, but each song is able to hold its own as a solid pop offering.

Jepsen’s wide range of diverse influences is still on display, but she’s the most mature and refined she has ever sounded.
