    LOVED THE ALBUM; In my personal opinion, I think it’s such a genius move to put interludes before each tracks. It made a good impression to listen to the song first time, yes the first time. Pretty sure lots of people will skip the interlude after listening to it few times. It’s safe to say this album had 0 skip. Maybe SCAR is skip-able but still, it’s a good song. Although Nile is already good, I still want it to be longer. The last verse by Bey on Nile slaps different, giving me a little Sorry (Original Demo) vibes. And also can you believe Blue’s cute iPhone voice memo on Brown Skin Girl outdid Beyoncé’s whole verse? LOL just kidding but Blue for sure make the song better. I love her voice. The movie is good and so is The Gift. The Lion King week is simply an excellent week all thanks to black excellency & Africans, its culture and obviously the beautiful country. Thank you Beyoncé for producing such an amazing album. Congratulations to other artists on the album too, they for sure did the BEST! It’d be 11 out of 10 for me but the limit is 10 so...     This album takes the listener on a journey through the film and transports you to Africa with the blends of culture and drums and afrobeats. Not to mention the very positive messaging Beyoncé gives the listener. Amazing album.

    As a longtime fan of the Lion King, I think this is a great addition to the evolution of the music behind the movie. It isn't going to be for everyone since it is centered in Afrobeat/hip-hip/R&B but it provides a modern take on the story and a peak inside the mind of our generations musical genius. The production is crisp and the use of the interludes really makes it cohesive. TheAs a longtime fan of the Lion King, I think this is a great addition to the evolution of the music behind the movie. It isn't going to be for everyone since it is centered in Afrobeat/hip-hip/R&B but it provides a modern take on the story and a peak inside the mind of our generations musical genius. The production is crisp and the use of the interludes really makes it cohesive. The standout tracks for me are NILE (feat. Kendrick Lamar), Spirit, and Brown skinned girl. I think the best outcome of this album is the exposure that the featured African artists will receive from being put on the main stage.

    And to the people that don't like the album, rather than hating on it, you can go listen to the movie soundtrack, the original movie soundtrack, or the Broadway version soundtrack instead of hating on this version.    … Expand

    Un album puissant qui a été travaillé au niveau des sonorités, des textes et vocalement. En ce qui concerne Beyoncé vocalement, elle se situe entre les albums EVERYTHING IS LOVE et 4: Un vrai plaisir !
    Comme le disait B, cet album est « une lettre d’amour à l’Afrique » et cela se ressent sur la plupart des pistes. Beyoncé comme productrice: je dis OUI ! On sent l'amour porté à l'Afrique,    Un album puissant qui a été travaillé au niveau des sonorités, des textes et vocalement. En ce qui concerne Beyoncé vocalement, elle se situe entre les albums EVERYTHING IS LOVE et 4: Un vrai plaisir !
    Comme le disait B, cet album est « une lettre d’amour à l’Afrique » et cela se ressent sur la plupart des pistes. Beyoncé comme productrice: je dis OUI ! On sent l'amour porté à l'Afrique, et cela fait plaisir !
    L'album est diversifié, aucun son ne ressemble à un autre, tant sur les instruments, les paroles, et les sonorités vocales.
    Evidemment, les sons chantés par Beyoncé surpassent les autres à l'exception de KEYS TO THE KINGDOM interprétés par TIWA SAVAGE et MR EAZI qui pourrait très bien être le son de l'été !
    Je note que BIGGER offre une prestation vocale très convaincante montrant que B n'a pas perdu sa voix. Les sons qui portent l'album sont BIGGER, MOOD 4 EVA, WATER, BROWN SKIN GIRL, et ALREADY.

    En résumé: Un album PUISSANT qui place l'Afrique subsaharienne au coeur des réflexions des auditeurs, et ce grâce à Beyoncé qui utilise intelligemment l'image de marque du Roi Lion pour défendre une noble cause: l'Afrique est un cadeau pour tous et doit être préservée.

    Her musical genius is felt all throughout this album. She is no longer making music for the charts or the masses, this is part of "something way bigger". The album feels authentic, the bars are clean, the vocals outstanding, and the production is complete. Brown Skin Girl is the most needed and important song since Formation. The queen has done it again.
