Mar 22, 2016This album is just like the artwork of it. Unexpected, interesting, but also a bit boring and discouraged. A pity. With the enormous talent and energy of this musician i expected more than this bit of old bread.

Feb 15, 2017I was blown away by this album. The funk and soul influences, the general chilled out mood and the provoking lyrics make a gem out of matt's debut LP.

Apr 22, 2020Upon its initial release, Matt Corby's change in musical style from the songs that had introduced me to him as an artist had left me resistant to most of the album. However, as I have grown and my taste in music developed and expanded I find this album to be one of my absolute favourites. Telluric is a beautiful psychedelic experience that's always sure to leave me in a good mood.

Q MagazineMar 10, 2016His debut is more Will Oldham than Will Young, with hints of Bon Iver, John Martyn and the Buckleys. The best of a beguiling bunch comes last. [Apr 2016, p.104]

MojoMar 10, 2016Production is dense, grainy and atmospheric, with Corby's layered vocals to the fore. [Apr 2016, p.94]

Mar 10, 2016Spiked with muted touches of rock and other intangibles, Telluric establishes Corby as far more than a genre stylist and even stamps him as a visionary to watch right out of the gate.
