All these 2004-2008 trolls made this album such a low rating when in reality their metal band or whatever kind of music those trolls listen to (reggae? how lame...) can't even perform their music live, UNLIKE simple plan.
Anywhoo, this album was awesome. The songs are legendary for simple plan on this album, and actually i prefer this album to No Pads.

How can you people, listen to such crap music, and call them punk, the backstreet boys in eyeliner and spikey hair are more punk then they are, Where are the real punk bands like the ramones, and the sex pistols? This band kills rock like alot others like good charlotte (dont even get me started with good charlotte). NO wonder rap is soo popular cuz new rock sucks, imagine if radio stations, mtv, much music (for canada), and other music distributors would putting some good new rock music?. This music so tacky and whiney, think about it.. be smart. some other suggestions, since people do play horrblie music now days, go to a music store, buy some real rock, buy some led zeppelin, some black sabbath, some ac dc, some soundGarden some alice in chains, and i bet there a great new bands if ur not into the 70',80's or 90's. Whatever jus not his horrible music! sorry if i offended anyone but i really strongly aobut this and the direction of rock , music, anyway i got to go listen some motley crue right about now before i hurl Expand

Worst Cd ever. The lack of originality, talent just general listenability, still not getting any better is what the album should be called

The Album despite that it is "Simple Plan' Really isn't that bad, but the constant wining will only be liked by emo fans and people who are very open minded with there music. Dont think of it as another "Punk" Album as much as just another simple plan album. If you want to listen to something better though I would recommend Mest, The Used, Good CHarlotte, or Jimmy Eat World. I've noticed that a lot of Simple Plan's songs have similar themes to some songs by The Offspring. The difference is that Simple Plan sound more like whiny little boys than musicians who can take full advantage of their musical premises and themes. "Welcome To My Life" is the most pathetic attempt to sound cool I've ever heard ("No you don't know what it's like to I've noticed that a lot of Simple Plan's songs have similar themes to some songs by The Offspring. notice how much higher a score these guys would have if not for the total wastoids who give Simple Plan a zero while masturbating to the sound of their own misplaced and misguided superiority-complex-induced whining. no band, not one on the planet that ever got a record deal, writes their own music, plays their own instruments and sings their own vocals is deserving of a zero score. if notice how much higher a score these guys would have if not for the total wastoids who give Simple Plan a zero while masturbating to the sound of their own misplaced and misguided superiority-complex-induced whining. no band, not one on the planet that ever got a record deal, writes their own music, plays their own instruments and sings their own vocals is deserving of a zero score. if for no other reason than they give you whiney crybabies something new to bitch about, they deserve a 5. you people berating Simple Plan just don't get it: these guys are creating good music and having fun doing it. just because they're not singing about how pissed off they are and how shitty life is, doesn't make them a bad band. wake up, your mind is more narrow than a fly's rectum. when a producer like bob rock signs up to produce you tome, you must be doing something right. Bob Rock, zero boys. The most respected, revered and sought after producer in Rock-n-Roll. this is an ambitious effort from a genre of music that rarely makes that claim. if you haters want people to take you seriously you won't be stupid enough in the future to rate anybody a zero. that just makes you stupid and uniformed. if you hate the pop-punk category of music, don't listen to it, but at least have brain enough to realize and sack enough to admit that, in this particular category, Simple Plan are one of the best. All these people giving it zeros and twos obviously didn't listen to the album. This is golden. By the way, I thought this was a family-friendly site, Mr. I-have- to-say-the-f-word-to-be-cool. And if anyone wants to know how many hyphens I used, it's 10, just like my rating.

This album is defintiely not as good as some people might lead you to believe. Most of the people rating them with high scores are young teenagae girls that have comments such as,"they rox hard! and best band eva......although that might really be what they thought of it one must question the validity of these statements. This album, and simple plan in general are in no way punk or rock. If you think this is rock....well then maybe you should go listen to something that is really rock. All 11 tracks sound oddly similar and mostly talk of the same types of angst and problems that we are oh so familiar with. If you enjoy real rock or punk, dont buy this album, let alone listen to any of simple plans music. Simple plan is a medicore punk band at best. Expand

A four, for the effort. A four because I could simply go like this: "SP SUX, DONT BUY ALBUM PLZ PLZ!" and I would consider it fair game. I do not think that people telling me they listen to SP and act special about should feel special. SP reminds emos what it is to be emo. AKA: Crying for something that you aren't getting, but could be getting, if you only stopped crying about it. A four, for the effort. I do not think that people telling me they listen to SP and act special about should feel special. SP reminds emos what it is to be emo. AKA: Crying for something that you aren't getting, but could be getting, if you only stopped crying about it. It's an issue. The whole album is an issue. I am french, from Quebec. And I can tell you there's a fury about them in their own country. People rush to buy their albums and then feel sad because of an overly singular text. Those guys are what... 20 years old? And they still come up with texts like "Somebody save me!" or "Help me!" ... You could be asking for help at 14 years old, but at the point they are, it just doesn't fit. It's not right, it doesn't sound right. Some critics have said: all the songs sound like hits. Alright, so that's already another problem. When all the songs sound like radio-material. It's bound to not make sense and just be teen-food. Parents enjoy Simple Plan because they apparently make their children feel special. Issues that teens cry over are talked about in this less-than-brainy album. If your view on life is sad and you think "there's nowhere to hide". (LOL , MAJOR LOL)Please, do buy this album and cry in your own little corner, or invite your friends over to rant about things you have trouble comprehending. Perfect album for someone with an IQ of a simple-minded anarchist. P.S Simple Plan is Pop-Rock, not Pop-Punk. Or "Teenage crying for attention". Expand

I love this album, it helped me get through a hard time in my life. Simple Plan has been an inspiration to me for years, and now, I've got a real life to show for it. Their my favorite artist, and this album is incredible. If you loved their first album, this second one is a shock, it's much darker, but it's just as good, if not better.

  1. Individually, the songs are catchy, but as they pile up over the length of the album, it's impossible not to wonder whether the singer's endless complaints didn't drive everyone away. [8 Nov 2004]
  2. Despite the overwrought angst, Still Not Getting Any... is a hard-to-deny collection of bubblegum punk
