    This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. the album was very good, there was a balance between sad and happy songs, it had a nice mixtures of lyrics, meaningful and fun lyrics to make us feel happy, vocally the album was very good especially with daisies ( both studio and acoustic versions). Harley's in hawaii had a very chill vibe to it and i wished it was om the radio because it would have a made a great summer chilling vibe, cry about it later and not the end of the world are both very good songs. idk how to explain music but i absolutely adore the album. just because there are bad reviews doesnt mean its not good, people didnt bother giving the album a chance to shine.… Expand

    No es lo mismo que nos ha traído anteriormente, apesar de que como dije se nota su presencia, es totalmente diferente
    Execelente álbum que ni siquiera puedo describir que tan perfecto es y que tan bien me siento escuchando esta joya.

    The album was not terribly bad, but after a while it became very generic. Like music you’d hear in a Forever 21. It was also forgettable at times, not a lot of the messages stuck. But overall not bad.

    Luego del tropiezo con Witness las espectativas no eran nada favorables sin embargo Perry nos demuestra que sin duda después de la tormenta viene la calma -o un huracán de 'Smile'-.     I knew this album would have been wonderful, but I didn’t expect this greatness, I loved witness since it came out, I liked so much the musical part and the lyrics, and I used to believe I wouldn’t change my idea even after Smile (A), but wow! I listened to Smile and really liked it since the first listening, and now it’s my favorite album of hers, I can’t stop listening to all the tracks,I knew this album would have been wonderful, but I didn’t expect this greatness, I loved witness since it came out, I liked so much the musical part and the lyrics, and I used to believe I wouldn’t change my idea even after Smile (A), but wow! I listened to Smile and really liked it since the first listening, and now it’s my favorite album of hers, I can’t stop listening to all the tracks, especially Cry About It Later, Not the End of the World and Teary Eyes, I can’t describe in words how much this album is good for me, it leads me mentally to another place, it makes me go to heaven for 37 minutes straight, really impressive, wonderful, magnificent, great, awesome, unique.     The album is a clear evolution and a step forward for Katy. The album has many pop hits, but the lyrical content is the thing that's thriving, telling a lovely story. Bop or listen, this album has both.

    Katy perry's smile is a bad album, she hasn't evolved at all since her debut on. artists need to evolve and it is something that she has not achieved.

    The best album of Katy Perry out of all her discography. The lyrics and sounds are produced well. Every songs have meaningful meanings. Inspiring and light-hearted.

    This album should have been left in the drafts...no new sounds. No new message. No ‘Smile’ from this listener...her face on the cover is the face I had through this album.

Her best album, her sound has really matured over the years, the lyrics are straight forward, she talks about hate she got from the public in 2017 when witness was released even though it was an amazing album. And it shows the light and that she can get through it. Such an amazing album, my top 3 right now is champagne problems, resilient, cry about it later. 10/10 Katy! Tysm… Expand

    Without fleeting moments of bad taste, Perry does indeed sound mature, but she's also not quite as fun. That's a conscious choice, though. Smile is intended to evoke memories of her frivolous younger days while pointing toward a sustainable pop future.

    While Perry finds the occasional moment of quality here (Smile and Tucked both feel like the best possible music we could get from Katy Perry in 2020), Smile is an album searching for an identity—and when it fails, it falls back on lazy writing.

    Like Joanne before Chromatica, Smile plays like a necessary centering exercise, indulging her insecurities and less surefire instincts. If Witness was overdetermined, Smile is an earnest exhale, for better or for worse. It delivers an image of her journey towards inner peace that is honest (if corny) and catchy (if not exactly inventive).
