Apr 17, 2025A little refinement in the writing room might be appreciated in the long term, but it's clear that JENNIE has the vision to deliver something spectacular.

Mar 12, 2025“Ruby” has a glut of imported talent — the guests include Dua Lipa, who appears on a listless duet, “Handlebars,” and Doechii, who flatly and flamboyantly outraps Jennie on “ExtraL.” .... The moments of novelty on this album are more impressive. .... Most striking is the R&B groove Jennie settles into on the album’s back half — Bibi Bourelly, who’s written hits for Rihanna, has songwriting credit on several of these tracks.

Mar 12, 2025The production is more ambitious, the songwriting more accomplished. If JENNIE has the most robust individual musical identity of the quartet, it’s because her songs have a crucial element the others’ lack: They sound good.
