One of the best albums of the deacade. Taylor's most intimate album. It's better than RED, 1989 and SPEAK NOW.
With lyrics showing her maturation, the singer shows that she is not kidding with her rivals in the industry and that much less will let them stain her REPUTATION

    A-MAZE-ING!
This is honestly her best album yet. Reputation take you on an emotional journey that will leave you wanting more. I Did Something Bad is a standout of this album.

This is obviously the best pop album of the year. And that's saying something, because Lorde's sophomore album was very good as well. Taylor took everything people are saying about her and turned it into lyrical gold-as she always does. Buy it. Buy one for your grandma, grandpa, dog, cat, fish, sugar bowl. Literally, everything could use a little reputation in its life

Those who thought Reputation was just a basic-white-pop-chick attempt to be a badass had to bite their tongues while listening to the album. A well crafted and masterfully written sharp and dark album that takes the listener to the rollercoaster of falling in love while having a bad reputation, something you are able to relate to even if you're probably not one of the biggest pop stars in the planet. Taylor takes her Swfitsonian game to another level, giving up on some of her best assets (like her previous Begin Again, Wildest Dreams, Dear John, Mine) in favor of some raunchy and powerful yet intimate performances (like Bad Blood and I Knew You Were Trouble). The stand-out tracks in this album are I Did Something Bad, Don't Blame Me, Gorgeous, Call It What You Want and Dress. The only -minor- disappointment is End Game, the track with Ed Sheeran and Future, which is premised with enormously high expectation that crumbles down under the pressure of having a Everything Has Changed 2.0 in the Reputation chords. Anyways, the album still shines through and places itself among the top 3 of her best albums. Expand

She is a narcissist, arrogant, fake person. Her songs are repetitive and insincere I wonder how much she is paying to be successful. Only a few songs are ok and this album is really overrated.

Her genuine best album so far. It is filled with unique tracks that everyone can enjoy. This brings a fresh sound to the table.
One of my favourite songs would have to be End Game ft. Ed Sheeran & Future

This review contains spoilers, click expand to view. This is a good pop album, almost bordering on average to me but it still makes the mark. Trap influences, as well as some talk-rap, is evident throughout the album, and although others may say differently this sound definitely matches with Taylor's delicate yet sultry voice.

Worst Track: Don't Blame Me (Oddly reminiscent of "Take Me to Church" by Hozier,

I loved this album, every song is completely different and unique, any song is in any way "similar" to other. I must say that "Dance with our hand tied", is not my favourite, but it is mostly good. But they are excellent songs like "Don´t blame me", "Look What You Made Me Do", "King of my heart" and "Call it what you want" (this last one the best of the album) In conclusion, reputation is something worthy to be listen. If you´re a Taylor fan, you will probably like it, but if you´re not, maybe you can give it a try, you´lle be surprise any way, Expand

Taylor never repeats albums and it shows. She has grown up and has decided that her reputation won't be affecting how she creates her art. We cannot expect everything to stay the same as she ages, her experiences will change her little by little. It comes through in Reputation.

She captures what it is like being in your mid-20s and the raging emotions that come from dealing with drama and adulthood. She experiments with new sounds and takes risks that have managed to come out very well in her favor. Finally, she is brutally honest about herself, her feelings, her reactions, and simply does not plan to let the drama ruin her life.

The album is great! It doesn't feel overdone, overly dramatic, too sappy, or even too sassy. It is a delicate(pardon the pun) balance of everything that makes it just right. Taylor does not sacrifice lyrical depth for beat fetishism. Every song has a fair portion of emotion as well as the dance vibes we look for these days. And she has still retained her storytelling skills that we know all too well.

Reputation was worth a 3 year silence.

I never thought I could like a Taylor Swift album as much as I like this piece of work. Not only is it good, it also marks a great musical evolution for Swift. Although her sound is very different, we can still see the influences from her previous album in this one. It has a more cohesive and mature sound than ever. Definitely worth the wait.

For me this is one of the best Taylor's albums because she reflects all the things she feel at the moment when the rumors and the lies came to light and her friends disappear and just the trusted friends stayed with her. She use the songs to represent the problems in her perspective and how the things where wrong making her look like the bad one in the story. Just by listening to one song, you hear how in love she is. Also it has a sassy vibe, which I LOVE. Taylor is showing that the best way to get revenge is to tell the truth and be nice to other even if they don't deserved it. The production of the album is amazing, with very important details in each song. In this album she serves vocal and I am here for it. I recommend everyone to buy this album because it's beyond anything she has done. Expand

An introspective record from Taylor that not only comments on the current states of both her love life and her reputation/career, but reconciles the two topics beautifully. The first half of the album may have all the bangers but the second half will destroy you emotionally. The old Taylor may be dead, but her passion, effort, and otherworldly songwriting are alive and well. Enjoy.

The songs more obliquely inspired by these genres feature an awkwardly delivered mishmash of talking, singing and rapping. The production in these songs are worse, oft sounding dated, clunky and uninspired. In an attempt to sound edgier she has effectively recycled and reappropriated out-dated trap and electroclash clichés.

Similarly, her lyrics employ clichéd metaphors and analogies about committing crimes and seeing herself and her new beau as the next Bonnie & Clyde. The thematic depth she explores is never past a surface interpretation of what a reputation is, or any criticism of anyone as always an open attempt to drag them through the mud.

The songs on the album that fit a more melodic and synthpop direction feel more cohesive and work to the strengths of Taylor's voice and songwriting. However, in going in these directions she fails to set herself apart from her contemporaries and give a great sense of who she is as an artist.

Overall the album is an out-of-touch, bland attempt at rebranding while using the same sounds her Top 40 peers have used before and venturing in 'edgier' genres like rap/trap/electroclash only to use their clichés as well.

I really tried to like this album, I thought upon re-listening my opinion would change and she would be able to make the new sonic direction could work - unfortunately it's not well executed and sounds like her least fleshed-out and developed album to date.

Swift’s unencumbered analysis of the tectonic shifts within her personal and public life are equal parts razor sharp and self-indulgent. But as a pop album, Reputation is never revolutionary, the adrenalin rush heady but ultimately short-lived.
