Too good of an album honestly. Red has always had a special place in my heart, and hearing some of my favorite songs back when I was younger in a more mature voice really speaks to me in a special way.

In an attempt to own her life’s work and further strengthen the rights of an artist over their art, Taylor Swift released her second re-recorded album, Red (Taylor’s Version). It contains the 16 tracks from the original version, which was released back in 2012, four of its deluxe tracks, the charity single, Ronan, and nine tracks which did not made it to the final cut of the original tracklists. With this new re-recorded album, she decided to recreate a new musical space for a new era of musical sounds without leaning away from the tunes of its original production, making it clearer, less overpowered, and sounding more distinctive than the rest as evident by State of Grace, Stay Stay Stay, and most especially, Girl at Home. However, some songs lost their magic after their reanimation, which includes, Red, I Knew You Were Trouble, 22, We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together, and Begin Again. Expand

This album was already a masterpiece but I am, somehow, still so impressed by how good this is. Having these songs with Taylor's current vocals on itself is a gift. From the amazing orchestral addition to "The Last Time" (and hearing Gary Lightbody's voice again) to the incredible 10 min version of "All Too Well" to the matured and beautiful voice of Taylor, it's a beautiful and faithful reimagination of a legendary album, the inclusion of the incredible Vault Songs just makes it a complete experience.

Red (Taylor's Version) is an embodiment of the vocal and lyrical prowess she has been known for throughout her career. More than a reinvention, this album is a staunch reminder and reaffirmation of Taylor's inexorable gift to tell touching stories through transcendent songs.

The profound maturity of her voice underscores how this album is a retelling of her teenage tales from a novel
Red (Taylor's Version) is an embodiment of the vocal and lyrical prowess she has been known for throughout her career. More than a reinvention, this album is a staunch reminder and reaffirmation of Taylor's inexorable gift to tell touching stories through transcendent songs.

The profound maturity of her voice underscores how this album is a retelling of her teenage tales from a novel vantage point nearly a decade later as she ventures forth on owning back the life she once lived and told through the rerecordings of her first six studio albums.

The heartbreaks of her past may have been miserable, but now, this musical masterpiece that personified those bittersweet memories is just simply cathartic and magical.

Quite frankly, no one does it like her.

This album was one of the greatest things i’ve heard. Truly a masterpiece. So proud of Taylor for being brave and re recording her albums. Claiming what’s hers.

It’s her lyrics, her effort, her tears. Her heartbeat, her passion, her hurt. Taylor Swift truly deserves this master, and call it her own. Can’t wait for the others

Swift lays the groundwork of her songs with good chords in Red (Taylor’s Version), but she also enhances the songs’ power with catchy lyrics and melodies (“You fooound me / You fooound me / You fooound me-e-e-e-“).

Truth is that this is now the definitive version of Red. It may also ensure that the good old boys who casually sold her music, seemingly out of a mixture of greed and spite, won’t get one red cent from Red, and it proves you can take a masterpiece and make it sound even better.

The highlight of these is a ten-minute version of "All Too Well," a bitter ballad that was already one of the peaks of Red and is now turned into an epic kiss-off. This, along with excavated songs, are reason enough for Swift to revisit Red and they, not the re-recordings, are the reason to return to Red [Taylor's Version].
