    This album is worth the wait. All songs just fit right in and there are no skips. Everything is a bop. Selena does not need to belt out hight notes to convey her message. Her emotions on each songs are enough for her to tell the story she is trying to deliver in this album. This album is her best and the best among her contemporaries.

    Rare has a fresh sound, almost from the 90s with a soft and novel sound. His voice stands out in every melody, his lyrics envelop your body and make you want to dance. They were 4 years of waiting that were definitely worth it.

    Unique and versatile album. Selena’s best album so far because she is allowing her vulnerability to lead her fans to see through her real self. An original and genuine person which is a lot of artists do not have nowadays. She evolved from producing songs that SOUNDS LIKE EVERYONE ELSE IN POP to BEING ORIGINAL and owning her voice which made this rare album a 10/10.

    Her best album, thousand times better than Revival, however Revival is a banger too. It's honest, confident and sometimes even sassy. Great combination of the angelic and catchy melodies and the meaningful lyrics.

    While none of these 13 songs attempt the subtle weirdness of “Bad Liar” and the emotional thesis—self-love!—can be a bit one-note, Rare is the 27-year-old’s most cohesive record to date. ... But it’s difficult to come away from Rare with any real perspective on who Gomez is other than that she doesn’t want to be the person she was, whoever that similarly mysterious shadow was.
