    Selena can’t sing. She has good music, but that doesn’t make her a singer. There are better music out there. Stop supporting thins woman who preach be a feminist and talks **** about other women. Just like Romance by Camila this album and the sounds are annoying. The lyrics aren’t deep or great. I was expecting a lot more.

    This album just does not do it for me. After Revival, I had high expectations because that album was amazing but this was lower than subpar. Her voice in most songs sounded like she was struggling to breathe and control and it made it uneasy to listen to. There is also a difference between a cohesive album and an album that where every song sounds similar with the vocal range andThis album just does not do it for me. This sounds like an album that tried to be cohesive but it fell flat because each song does not have any diversity compared to the rest. Also, learning that a lot of these songs are rejects from other artists makes the album less genuine and authentic because it didn't come from Selena herself. Something is off about this project and I wish it was better than it is.… Expand

    No growth whatsoever. I thought this would be different from her last album but it feels like im listening to the same song all over again. Fell asleep listening to it. Sorry

    Algo repetitivos los ritmos, creo que eso lo hace super forzado y se pierde el interés. Es un álbum que no motiva a escucharlo más de una vez. Por eso y más... cualquier artista>>> Seleperro.

    Songs in albums are so generic and boring, only have 3 good songs. Lead singles is not suitable for the album, it's very different.

Selena has put more work into marketing this album as a “vulnerable” expression of herself and selling a fake image than she has put into improving herself as a person and musician. This album comes chock-full of cookie cutter instrumentals and monotone whisper talking. What she lacks in personality, she equally lacks in delivering a genuine album experience.     Trashy pop mess. All tracks sound the same with the same beat and same rhythm. You can tell she’s been working with a vocal coach so good for her but still, the album is not the best. It lacks in many ways

    The album is over all boring. The album is not leaving the edm influence. The edm is so fresh for 2015 but for 2019 or now, it is kinda tiring. LYTLM is a good song and kinda feels okay to address her past relationship because she wants to move on from it. So my expectation is the rest of the album is about another sides of her life such as her disease/kidney transplant, her bestfriend,The album is over all boring.     All the lyrics are like a 13-years-old girl who think that what she's writing is poetry but then you have "toast in the toaster". "You'll never understand me cuz I'm so rare (so unique and different... wow)" and "I won't answer the call I'll let it ring".... I can say that lose you to love is is the only good one in this album... and in lytlm there so parts that don't even rhyme

    Yet another unoriginal, basic pop album full of other artist's reject songs. Five albums into her career you would think Selena Gomez would learn how to write something on her own by now.

    I got bored after like 3 songs. Just too much of the same vibes from every song. I only liked Rare, Ring, and look at her now. Idk how people like this album when half of it isn’t even hers

    While none of these 13 songs attempt the subtle weirdness of “Bad Liar” and the emotional thesis—self-love!—can be a bit one-note, Rare is the 27-year-old’s most cohesive record to date. ... But it’s difficult to come away from Rare with any real perspective on who Gomez is other than that she doesn’t want to be the person she was, whoever that similarly mysterious shadow was.
