    ALBUM INCRÍVEL.
Músicas maravilhosas e únicas, quando tu escuta consegue sentir o esforço que foi investido. Ela se entrega por completo, além do fato que o conceito e a estética são exemplares. Simplesmente amei.

vulnerable honest strong are three words that describe this album. Selena came with a totally different album a different sound and it’s an act of braveness because this kind of sound is not the hot trend right now. RARE by Selena Gomez gave us a break from this fast songs trend from artist that only care about sales about money! Well done miss Gomez

I love it ! I definitely love how the rythm is different in every song ! The lyrics are definitely great and the featuring with 6LACK and Kid Cudi are awesome. The album really shows the feelings and everything Selena survived during those 4 years. I would definitely recommend everyone to listen to it. My favorite songs of the album are : Rare, Ring, Cut you off and Sweeter place.

Selena Gomez shines bright on opener "Rare" where she talks about someone not recognizing that she is rare. "Dance Again" is a club song, and it is fittingly titled because it makes you want to move. The poppy "Look At Her Now" describes the place where Gomez is at now. Her first number one single on the Billboard Hot 100, "Lose You to Love Me" is an inspirational ballad about findingSelena Gomez shines bright on opener "Rare" where she talks about someone not recognizing that she is rare. Her first number one single on the Billboard Hot 100, "Lose You to Love Me" is an inspirational ballad about finding self-love. "Ring" is a sassy song where Gomez is letting her phone ring metaphorically. One of the best tracks, "Vulnerable" is-you guessed it- about staying vulnerable. "People You Know" is a reminiscing song about people who you used to be close to but now you do not know them. "Let Me Get Me" is a great song about healing and not letting all the bad things get to you. "Crowded Room" is a simplistic song about spending time with another in a crowded room. Gomez snaps in "Kinda Crazy" where she describes a lover who is kinda crazy. In "Fun" she pokes fun at her health conditions, while saying she only wants to have fun with this guy. "Cut You Off" is quite literally about cutting someone off from your life after realizing you have had enough. Closer track, "A Sweeter Place" features Kid Cudi and his production. Gomez describes about going to a place where she does not have to feel worried.
Overall, the lyrical content in "Rare" is superb, and the production fits right in with Selena's vocals and the deeper meaning of all the records.

'Rare' is a fresh, original and cohesive album. I can find similarities with Selena's past songs, like 'Fetish' and 'Bad Liar', but there are also new elements that showcase her maturity and nonconformity. Selena's shown to be brave and one of a kind, but also that we should respect her decision to take her time to make her own art, because, as this album shows, it works.

It is an album with danceable and calm melodies. Rare is a mixture of guitars, bass and sounds maybe from the 80's and 90's. The album has good lyrics and melodies, which is a good experience. Personally, it is an album with good potential.

I am incredibly disappointed in this album. After hyping up some big comeback she came back worse than ever. Was hoping she'd pull it out of the bag but she just couldn't.

Selena really put her all into this album. Every song is so different that it felt like I was listening to multiple different albums. There is truly something for everyone. She has shown that she stands on her own and DOESN'T need to rely on anyone else to remain relevant. She is her own person in this industry and is willing to take risks and try new sounds. There is truly something for everyone. She has shown that she stands on her own and DOESN'T need to rely on anyone else to remain relevant. She is her own person in this industry and is willing to take risks and try new sounds. The best part of this album is that it closes with a song that tells a story about not even wanting all the lights, cameras, and action but instead looking for somewhere to hide away. That speaks volumes about her character. Selena doesn’t care about a #1 but DESERVES it anyway. Lose You to Love Me remains the strongest track for me, but Crowded Room, A Sweeter Place, and Vulnerable are something special too. Oh, and listen to Ring if you want to hear something from her that you’ve never ever heard before. I love seeing all these different sides of someone people try so hard to paint as stagnant. Overall, this album will age like fine wine. Very proud of this woman’s journey and how far she has come. Expand

Without a doubt the great growth of Selena is seen, RARE is her best album with Revival.

Rare continually teases intriguing forays into leftfield pop, but so many of the album’s experiments come off as just that, without ever crystallizing with memorable hooks.

The record she has delivered to kickstart a new decade is a career defining release, and from a pop star who is firmly back on top of her game.

While none of these 13 songs attempt the subtle weirdness of “Bad Liar” and the emotional thesis—self-love!—can be a bit one-note, Rare is the 27-year-old’s most cohesive record to date. ... But it’s difficult to come away from Rare with any real perspective on who Gomez is other than that she doesn’t want to be the person she was, whoever that similarly mysterious shadow was.
