    This album shows extreme growth from her past albums. The lyrics and beats are mature and unique to themselves. Not many pop songs sound like these right now... she’s dangerous. The pop world needs to watch out!

For example, if you compare it to her previous album “Revival” , lyrically this one is much more mature. Lyrics from “Revival”: “Maybe I should be more like her. She’s perfect.” Comparing herself to somebody else.     After 4 long years the wait is over & I must say it was worth the wait!! Rare is a step up from Revival!! No song on Rare sounds like anything that is currently being put out!! My faves are: dance again, vulnerable, crowded room & rare!!

    to be honest, all the songs are beautiful. it is very noticeable that a lot of work has been done. all songs deserve to be lead singles. if you have not heard the album, then you should do it. he will pleasantly surprise you. and you are sure to find something for yourself.

    While none of these 13 songs attempt the subtle weirdness of “Bad Liar” and the emotional thesis—self-love!—can be a bit one-note, Rare is the 27-year-old’s most cohesive record to date. ... But it’s difficult to come away from Rare with any real perspective on who Gomez is other than that she doesn’t want to be the person she was, whoever that similarly mysterious shadow was.
