I didn't like it, unfortunately. I can totally see why others do, but it just isn't for me.

I love Pretty. Odd. I think it definitely stood out from most of the albums that dropped in 2008 and that is actually a really good thing imo. On here we have some of my favorite Panic! Tracks till this day like "Nine in the Afternoon", "That Green Gentleman (Things Have Changed" which is just such a **** banger and one of the best Songs of all time imo. Behind the Sea and Northern Downpour were 2 Beautiful Cuts from the Album and out of the 15 Tracks on here I would say that only 1 Song on here was pretty bad imo and that was the 14th track "From a Mountain in the Middle of the Cabins" and honestly I thought that track had lots of potential cause I love the writing on there just like 90% of this Album but personally I really don't like Brendon Urie's voice over the beat on this song its just so hard to listen to. So Overall "Pretty. Odd." By Panic! At The Disco was a pretty good Album and even tho it was a big big shift from their previous Album "A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out" it is still very Underrated and just Overall a banger Album which I think is a Strong 8 out of 10. An underrated album that definitely takes a step away from their debut. It may not be perfect, but it is a solid album that is at least worth listening to.

Gorgeous. A truly valiant effort by Ryan Ross and co. Really shows off the beauty of what music can be. Is it the best album of all time? Nah, but it still deserves a 10. Highlights include: Northern Downpour, That Green Gentleman, Nine in the Afternoon, and When the Day Met the Night.

The album is good and the sounds the band creates are well executed. Probably their best work.

A little while ago, I listened to A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out, which is Panic! At The Disco’s first album. Having greatly enjoyed their debut, I couldn’t wait to listen to their follow-up, Pretty. Odd. The group seemed to ditch the orchestral bits for the most part, though they continue to incorporate strings pretty well into their music. I also couldn’t help but notice that they used panning techniques extremely well, and took advantage of the wonderful team that piano and guitar makes. The lyrics for the most part were as good as Fever, and I had a great time listening to a significant number of the songs on Pretty. Odd. I wish that I could give my entire song-by-song commentary, but the character limit won't let me. In general, I was pleased by the sophomore album from Panic! At The Disco. It seems with this that they are starting to find their sound, and I love seeing the development of different bands. I cannot wait to listen to their next, as I think Pretty. Odd. was fairly successful. The pop rock feel of a good number of songs in here is wonderful, and is something that I missed ever since I finished listening to Fall Out Boy’s new music. I will happily listen to more of Panic! At The Disco’s material, as I greatly enjoyed their first two albums. Fans of the first should like the second, as should people who are into pop rock. Highlights: We’re So Starving, Nine in the Afternoon, She’s a Handsome Woman, That Green Gentleman, Northern Downpour, When the Day Met the Night, Pas de Cheval, Folkin’ Around, She Had the World, and Mad as Rabbits.

i didn't hate it but after some time i did get bored, the songs start to sound the same and are a bit dull. the lyrics are good, very fanciful but i just can't connect with them. i know people seem to score folksy dull sounding songs very high for some reason but i guess i just can't. its not bad its just forgetable.

The Piano Knows Something I Don't Know"

This is Panic's most meh album and I thank God the band split up after this. It's trying way to hard to be a Beatles record except even more boring than it's predecessors.

Panic! At the Disco is probably my third favorite band. This album however, is garbage. There's probably three or four songs that I don't skip whenever they come on shuffle. If you are a Panic! fan, would recommend skipping most of this when checking out their discography (with the exception of Nine In the Afternoon, Northern Downpour, and That Green Gentleman).

Great album, I love most of the songs on here. There are some songs I don't love as much and I don't think this is my favorite style of theirs, I was still thoroughly impressed. Northern Downpour is probably my favorite song off of the album and is an incredibly underrated song of theirs. A-

The last record that really can be said it had the last drops of the essence of the band and is not because they break-up later but because Brandon Urie completely destroyed everything that had been achieved with his two mediocre pop albums and the simplistic Vices & Virtues .

This album, inspired by 1960's rock such as The Beatles and The Kinks, doesn't disappoint with songs that have that '60s feel to them such as "Nine In The Afternoon".

This album is waaaaaay better than their previous record. Wow they have come a long way from crappy pretentious emo pop. Even though this record is watered down it feels honest.

With "Pretty. Odd.", the band is trying to tell us that they matured. And that seems about right. The Beatles and The Beach Boys are some of the obvious major influences around here. "Nine In the Afternoon" is a great hit song that could only have been done by them.

I loved how random it all felt at first yet listening to it clarified the lyrics a little bit every time. Even now, 6 years and 200 listens later, it's still so catchy and in my opinion Panic's best album to date.

This was Panic at the Disco at their best. Pretty. Odd. is a great example of a band maturing their sound for their sophomore album. If only it hadn't been so short lived...

Panic! At the Disco are perhaps my favourite band- none of my opinion is based on this albubm. A terrible, terrible follow up to their first album. THis song contains two good tracks, 'Nine in the Afternoon' and 'Things have Changed'. I am disappointed in this album. Not only is it too far from what Panic! At the Disco are known for, but their 'new' sound is whiny and boring.

By no account is this album revolutionary per say, nor is it groundbreaking; the real accomplishment is that they denied fame by taking a risk, and flirting with a past era of music. 1. More often than not (and this is the kicker, ladies and gentlemen), Pretty. Odd. is just pretty dull.
  2. Even when it's over the top, which is basically always, Pretty. Odd. sounds cheerful, with a broad sense of humor that does honor to the noble legacy of ELO mastermind Jeff Lynne.

Pretty.Odd lives up to its title because it dares to be optimistically beautiful at a time when sadness and ugliness might have won them easier credibility. [Apr 2008, p.92]
