    Awful lyrics and basic beats. She has done so much better in the past. She’s clearly going for quantity over quality.

    One of the worst albums I've heard this year. I rated it this low because I never buy albums and this was the one of the few album I've ever bought. WASTE OF MY MONEY.

    It sounds loke drops from Sweetener and TUN, bored album, basic sounds and basic lyrics. Ariana need to evolve musically

    Her vocals are good but the writing is weak and she seems more interested in making a “sex” type album rather than a meaningful deep one. Having 10-15 producers doesn’t help

    After her third album, it seems that Ariana has nothing new, since the sweetener she only delivers mediocre works. Always more of the same.

    There's no reinvention, there's no outstanding stuff, there's no memorable and inspiring songs. I can't believe it’s her SIXTH era and it's the same thing over and over again, sadly, it feels like she got stuck in her fourth album and even you know it's a real project starting with a good and decent cover and the songwriting from start to the end. ——————

    Recycled songs and no growth from her previous 2 albums. Her fans hype her too much to the point where she feels the need to release a new album every year. It’s mediocre.

    For my surprise it's worse than sweetener, I thought that nothing could be worse than that. I wish I could get back the time I wasted listening to it.

    It astonishes me that a song with The Weeknd could be boring. This album follows that same trap beat, and it feels like more of the same. Also, she really needs so many songwriters on such short and simple songs? It makes the album feel less personal

The lyrics are not her best, and the production of these songs start to get repetitive within a minute into each song.… Expand

    Grande is making no effort to be discreet, instead explicitly owning her sexuality—the album is called Positions, after all. The juxtaposition of beautiful violin sounds and risqué lyrics has become one of Grande’s signature sounds, and it suits her well.

    With little conflict and few psychological insights, Positions zeroes in on the enviable confidence that only pop stars on top of the world and with nothing to lose can afford. It's easy to write it off as empty calories, but pop has always been described in such terms: cake, candy, chocolate, confection. Positions isn't a "sweetener" but pure sugar.
