    She’s not an ostentatious player, although she certainly has the chops; she seldom solos and usually avoids the fussy filigrees that demonstrate technique as much as they serve the song.

    It’s a meandering, post-folk record with fingerpicked acoustic guitar at the center, and it relates back to the powerful, unsettling, what-comes-after-tradition impulse that musicians around the world were working out from the mid-’60s to the early ’70s.

    Neither particularly sad nor happy, Oh Man, Cover the Ground has a sort of ramshackle, neo-folk nonchalance that might not make much of an impact unless you're willing to slow down with it and enjoy it for the contemplative mood piece it is.
