This is an inherently beautiful piece of art, I use the word art not only to quote lana by saying “cuz it was just that good” but because it is very clear that lana is feeling very artistically charged this era. For me, the highlights of this album where the soulful moments from mouth to ear over a sweet piano where lana could really catch us for a second, on tracks like ‘Love Song’ ‘The Greatest’ ‘Hope is a dangerous thing for a woman like me to have - but i have it’ and many more. I was particularly excited to hear ‘Love Song’ ‘Happiness is a Butterfly’ ‘The Next Best American Record’ and ‘How to Disappear. (‘Best American Record’ was a song that was actually cut from ‘Lust for Life’ which eventually leaked not long after release. I’m happy lana added the track to this record with tidally revamped lyrics.) This ultimately brings me to my complaints. One of the tracks that i was probably most excited for ‘How to Disappear’ was first advertised with a hauntingly soulful piano-vocal style which very little production interference. The album version is, in a word, butchered. i’m disappointed that they took this decision to make it a very weird failure lo-fi song that just ends up sounding strange because it was probably my biggest problem with this record. :(. Overall, i’m over joyous for Lana and i know that over time i will grow to become even more in love with this album. I can’t stress enough how beautiful it is.… Expand

    Eu amei esse álbum, tem músicas calmas e bastante poéticas...Na verdade a Lana nunca erra um álbum,ela tem um estilo próprio diferente de alguns artista.Infelizmente o álbum tinha vazado algumas semanas antes mas isso não à derrubou só fortaleceu mais a sua carreira o lançamento dessa obra de arte.

    It's a remarkably sharp pop record that retains her fascination with pop-culture iconography and the rosey simplicity of a post-war America where classic rock and blue jeans ruled and takes them to much deeper places. ... Think of it as an hour-long car ride peeling down the highway with classic rock blaring out of the radio and no real destination in mind other than where your impulsive nature might take you.
